• Billing information (processed securely through Stripe or Square — we do not store full card details)
• Business name and contact details
• Contact lists and campaign content you upload to the platform

When you visit or use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical data, including:

• IP address and browser type
• Device and operating system information
• Pages visited, links clicked, and time spent on the platform
• Referring URLs
• Session and usage data

c) Cookies and Similar Technologies

• XSRF-TOKEN: A security cookie used to prevent cross-site request forgery attacks. Required for the Service to function.
• Session cookie: Maintains your login session while you use the platform.
• Remember Me cookie: Set when you choose "Remember Me" at login, allowing you to stay signed in across browser sessions.
• UI preference cookies: Used to remember whether you have completed onboarding tooltips and guided tours within the platform. These expire after 30 days.

3. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how users interact with the Service. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect data such as pages visited, time on site, and general geographic location. This data is aggregated and anonymous. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

a) Third-Party Service Providers
We work with trusted third-party services to operate the platform:

• Connected CRM Platforms: For CRM and contact synchronization features. Data shared is subject to the privacy policy of the platform you connect.
• Stripe: For payment processing. Data shared is subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Square: For alternative payment processing. Data shared is subject to Square's Privacy Policy.

These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us on our behalf.

b) Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process (e.g., a court order or government request).

c) Business Transfers
If Scribe Handwritten is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or your account is terminated:

• Your data (contacts, campaigns, templates, and account information) will be retained for 60 days, after which it will be permanently deleted from our systems.
• You may export your data at any time during the 60-day retention window by contacting us at support@scribehandwritten.com.

Transactional records (such as payment receipts) may be retained longer as required by law.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party payment processing.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

• Access, update, or correct your account information at any time through your account settings
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting support@scribehandwritten.com
• Opt out of Google Analytics data collection using the browser add-on linked in Section 3
• Export your contact and campaign data before account deletion

We will respond to account and data requests within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@scribehandwritten.com and we will promptly delete it.

9. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
